Announcement of 2016 President Chao Nee Memorial Scholarship Recipients

The NCKUAANA President Chao Nee Memorial Scholarship Committee has completed its evaluation of 2016 scholarship applicants.  Listed below are the selected recipients, whose outstanding accomplishments rendered them all exceptionally competitive candidates.



Christopher Yeh (葉宗然)– a Sophomore at Stanford University, majoring in Computer Science.  He is the son of (葉先覺, 1978 Engineering Science), member of NCKUAANA – Southern California.


Jemmin Chang (張傑明) – a Junior at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Computer Science & Linguistics.  He is the son of Ifay Chang (張一飛, 1963 Electrical Engineering), member of NCKUAANA – Greater New York.


Caroline Chiu (邱恬恬) – a Junior at Columbia University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering, and minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation.  She is the daughter of

Lung Chiu (邱龍, 1985 Statistics), member of NCKUAANA – Greater New York.


Kristin Cheng (程薇) – a Junior student at UC-Berkeley, with a major in Nutritional Science – Dietetics, and minor in Education.  She is the daughter of Timothy Cheng (程東海, 1978 Civil Engineering), member of NCKUAANA – Southern California.




The $1,000 scholarship and a framed award certificate will be presented to each recipient at the annual NCKUAANA local meeting to which their parents belong。
